The Trabucco Marina is part of an ambitious new plan to transform the century-old commercial port in San Benedetto into a touristic marina of international relevance and a destination for the booming city on the Adriatic sea. The office was selected to provide design services for two of the three new piers included in the plan.
The design was guided by principles of energy efficiency and simplicity of construction, while the strong local tradition in ship building provided both a visual reference and a technical solution for the sun shading system integrated to the building structure.
