Mr. Giostra was selected by Richard Meier and Partners as the Project Architect responsible for the construction administration phase of the Ara Pacis Museum in Rome.

Mr.Giostra responsibilities included: completion of the Construction Documents and their translation into the current construction standards in Italy; coordination with all local representatives, consultants and contractors; coordination with local manufacturers during production and installation; consultancy for the design of the building’s curtain wall. Mr. Giostra also oversaw the construction of the building structure until its completion in August 2004.

The high-profile and politically-charged project required a unique understanding of local construction standards and techniques, as well as a familiarity with the political and administrative structures in Italy. Since the design and decision-making process was to be maintained at Richard Meier and Partners Headquarters in New York throughout the construction phase, Mr. Giostra, with his impressive experience and reputation, was the perfect person to manage the task.
